Firstly, my sincere apologies for being a pretty rubbish blogger the last couple of weeks.  With all this holiday prepping and trying to squeeze as much time in with my sweetheart before I jet off on Saturday I have had little blogging inspiration. 

Anyway..... I wanted to share a few images from one of my all time favourite movies, Pleasantville.  I'm sure most of you have seen it and I just love the sweater sets and full skirts! Also  the hair and make-up is pretty good inspiration for an everyday vintage 50s look.  Not only are the clothes amazing but the story is just lovely too and I love the integration of colour into the film as the story progresses.

 
 
 
 

Margot, Margot, Margot Tenenbaum

I adore any Wes Anderson film, but especially The Royal Tenenbaums.  I find Margot one of the most interesting and multi-layered characters.  Love the kohled eyes, sleek hair and fur coat especially!  Also makes me understand completely why it is perceived as 'cool' to smoke, same effect as Audrey with her cigarette holder in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Louboutin & Laduree

The beautiful patisserie Laduree, famous for its pastel coloured macaroons is to collaborate with famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin on a selection of gift boxes.  I haven't been to the Burlington Arcade shop yet but it is now on my list of things to do as the macaroons do look truly scrumptious!! Its all very parisian chic which I just adore. 

 The image above is from the blog Londonelicious.  This girl sure knows her London food!! The blog is dedicated to London and its many lovely food places.

I also learnt that Laduree supplied the treats for Marie Antoinette, now I really want to see the film again!!

Oh my I seem to have made myself very hungry!!!!

Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland

 

Now I am in much, much anticipation for the Alice In Wonderland film to come out next March as I'm sure many of you are.  I've noticed it has been much blogged about.  I just checked out the trailer and almost had heart palpitations!  It looks deliciously dark and delightful!

I rather like the liquorice all-sorts detailing on the mad hatter's neck scarf, I think that's an interesting little touch.
